Deck the Halls.
It's that time of year again...
This year we decided that we didn't want to go crazy with decorations. Minimal: peaceful: the goal.
Jonah was a little disappointed, and eventually convinced us to do the outside lights in addition to the things we did inside the house, but we have still cut back a TON this year.
I guess for me, the decorations are just not that important anymore.
I like to have the tree. A few reminders here and there of the season - but really, Christmas isn't about that. It's about being together. Being ourselves. Loving one another and those around us.
I'd rather fill the house with joy and peace and all those intangible things than decorations.
The decorating wasn't a huge event this year. It was something we did together. And that is all.
