Family Night at Elm's Beach.

Wednesday nights are our family nights and tonight we decided to head to Elm's Beach to play on the playground and run around in the surf.  It's one of my favorite places to play, even though it's a bit of a drive, AND today was not ridiculously hot (one thing I hate about living where we live) - it was in the high seventies by the evening, which is when we went.

We scarfed bagel pizzas, Maeryn grabbed a quick nap, and off we went, realizing about halfway there that Maeryn had no shoes...

We all played.  Maeryn went barefoot and so did the rest of us by the end of the night.  We ran up slides and stairs and slid down the slides full speed, rocked the see-saw, climbed the "rock", swung on the monkey bars, and flew through the air on the swings.  After the playground we ran to the beach, raced on the sand, collected oyster shells, and spotted minnows hiding in the sea weed.

The beach was clean, the waters were clear, and the sunset was gorgeous.
