Denver Countdown: 2

Michael started packing last night.  I watered the garden plentifully.  The fish tank is clean and Adam, our unofficial child (/roommate/boarder/houseguest/family member/friend/former student) is all set to feed the betta (Bailey) while we're away.  My friend, Summer, will be tending the garden in the backyard.  The laundry is mostly done.  I'll throw in one more load probably after I finish this entry to be sure that we have tons of clean clothes (we'll still have to do laundry while we're away - none of us have enough clothes for ten days).  We'll need to stop on our way out today to grab Jonah's prescription and return some DVDs from the library.  Lots to do.  We'll have to strap on the bikes, I'll have to pack my stuff and Maeryn's stuff - Jonah and Michael are all packed....

This morning I've been sort of sitting here overwhelmed and haven't honestly done anything except get the kids up and dressed and make sure our toothbrushes all made it into the toiletry bag.

When Michael gets home from work we'll be throwing everything in the car, scarfing some dinner, and hitting the road for Pennsylvania, where we'll sleep tonight at Michael's parents' house and then hit the road officially toward Denver tomorrow morning.  I'm hoping that my back pain doesn't suck too badly and I'm hoping that I don't get car sick or sick of people and that I can find some head space to breathe in my introversion.  I'm hoping that the kids will sleep at night and be cooperative in general and that they'll take in all the sights like crazy.

I'm hoping that we can make it onto the road tonight with all there is left to do!!!
