This was actually a day last week, before I headed to NYC for several days to compete in a one-act play festival:
Jonah bought these LEGO figures with his allowance. |
Maeryn: our budding artist, goes through many sheets of paper a day. |
Popcorn for our movie time! |
We watched Scooby Doo together and snuggled on the couch. |
Maeryn wanted to play outside, but not to get dressed. |
She rode her tricycle for about ten minutes before deeming the day (it was 99 degrees F or so) too hot. |
I watched from the porch with a trusty glass of water. |
We made "pools" with hula hoops. |
the finished popcorn |
Jonah's golden and chocolate sunflowers in the garden - we watered and weeded. |
Maeryn painted several pictures throughout the day. |
I made eggplant parmesan casserole for dinner. |
As the day drew to a close, a tired Little parked on the floor with Lovey in a "Princess" gown. |

Great pictures! Looks a lot like our days! Except for the cooking since I'm not much of a cook. My older dd used to have a big aversion to getting dressed too.. unless princess dresses were involved! :)
Our deal is that you have to have underwear on when inside the house and pants when you go outside. Other than that - wear what you want. :)
We have the same clothing rules! LOL
