Near our campground in Florence, OR, was a state park with dunes.
It would be hard to compete with White Sands, but you really can't go wrong with dunes, right?
We parked, grabbed our shovels and buckets (no sleds this time!) and climbed up.
It was pretty much freezing and windy.
BUT we managed to have a ton of fun in spite of the weather.
The kids didn't mind the cold at all.
Michael and I had to snuggle.
It was pretty rough.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice.
