We made the right choice skipping out on South Dakota (add that to our future travel bucket lists). The storm was pretty intense.
We ended up stopping in Kansas at a campground to wait out the weather for the night (and so we could have some electricity/heat in the freezing temperatures). Of course the pipes froze... but that's old hat now. Michael dug Sally out with a hammer. The night was still cold.
